Author and version not changing

Hi,

I've developed few collectors in the past and everything was fine.
However recently I discovered that when I create a new collector and
make a development build, the author and version is different to what I
put in the Package.xml file.

The author I believe is from one other collector I previously built and
its somehow not realising that I asked for a new collector.

Is there a way to reset everything and start again? May be deleting the
SDK plugin from Eclipse and re-import again or maybe something else...

Please help.

Regards,
Pras

Under Windows:
C:\Users\username\.netiq\pluginsdk\dev.properties

Under Linux maybe under your home directory there is a hidden directory
like under Windows. I have to check it at home later.

When you create a production build, it will ask if you would like to
change the version number.

Re: Author and version not changing

Hi,

Thanks - is there a way to make the collector read from package.xml
rather than the dev.properties file? Just that there are different
users building the collector and its easier to have them local rather
than a global setting.

Pras

No, because package.xml does not exist as part of a normal collector's
source and is therefore not used during the build process. Starting
at the time the 2014 SDK officially releases, version will be fully
override-able. If you want, go ahead and open an enhancement for
author to also be controlled/overriden on a per-plugin basis.
