Filtering reports by OU

I'm working on a project where I need to develop a user report (with
active/inactive status as well as basic user info and roles) and filter
the users by container. The tree structure is such that partners are
broken out by OU and the client wants to be able to give a report to
each partner with only their users in it.

Does anyone have a sample report that does this?

Also, since I'm very new to customizing jasper reports and don't know
the answer to this one, is it possible to see the underlying xml for the
existing reports to use them as sample "code"?

Re: Filtering reports by OU

Hello dtinsley,

Yes, the SDK comes with a number of sample reports that you can look at
for details.

To build a report like you describe, you need to add a parameter s.t.
your customer can pick from a list of possible OUs.

To do so, the process is to define the parameter in iReport, extract it
to become a Plug-in parameter, and then incorporate it into the prompted

First off, is there a particular field that contains the OU? Can you
give some detailed examples, and tell us what your DB query looks like
so far?
