Configuration requires user to have read and write permissions for MW installation folder

The installation folder for MW must be readable and writable by the MW user before the user can configure MW.

Problem:

The MW Configuration Manager fails with the PackageExtractor error “Unable to copy to ."

Resolution:

On the File > Properties > Security tab for the MW Installation folder, set the MW user's permissions to allow Full Control. By default, the installation folder is C:\Program Files\Modernization Workbench.

Note: In Windows Vista, you must set the administrator's permissions for the MW installation folder explicitly. You can do that by listing the administrator on the Security tab for the folder.
