Gathering additional licensing trace / log files for generic error messages
When using Enterprise Analyzer, a generic error message is being displayed:.
'Cannot obtain Analyzer License. Reason: Enterprise Analyzer:
Error(18): No License code is available for feature MWAnalyzer on host 127.0.0.1.'
How can extra information be gathered using trace and logging?
Sentinel RMS licensing is controlled from the CES.INI file.
To add trace/log options into the CES.INI file...
For Enterprise Analyzer 3.4
- Trace files can be found in the same directory as the CES.INI file and are named MFCESD.log
- Add the following line at the end of the CES.INI file
For Enterprise Analyzer 3.3
- The destination of the cestrace file can be determined by the user.
- Add the following lines to the end of the CES.INI file
To activate the change in either EA 3.3 or EA 3.4, stop and restart the following services..
Sentinel RMS License Manager
Micro Focus CES daemon
NOTE: Tracing / logging will remain on until the extra statements in the CES.INI file are removed and the services restarted once again, to activate the changes as before.
