Sources Not Updating in BRP in Enterprise Analyzer Workspace

Problem:

In Batch Refresh Process, user is unable to update existing sources in the workspace.  The Batch Refresh Logs show the message "Not Registered" for existing sources loaded into BRP.  The issue does not occur for new sources.  The issue may also only occur in upgraded workspaces from previous versions of EA.

Resolution:

This issue is related to a change in how read-only files are processed in newer versions of EA.  A small, one-time change is needed to resolve this issue.

The user can navigate to the Sources folder of the Workspace directory in Windows Explorer and turn off the read-only attribute for the sources in that folder.

This change is only needed for upgraded workspaces.  Any new workspaces created in EA will not have this read-only issue that causes the Not Registered message.
