ACU THIN CLIENT RUNNING WITHOUT ALIAS

Hi,

May i know that anyway we use the command line to run the acu thin client instead of create the alias and use the alias to run the acu thin client?

I am facing a case that half way running the system, the alias had been remove and had been found out that this is the issue for 10.0.0.

So need to wait for next patch to fix this issue, but before the next patch launch.

Is there anyway that we can run the acu thin client without point to the alias?

Can we use command line instead of alias?

Thanks You.

RE: ACU THIN CLIENT RUNNING WITHOUT ALIAS

No. Thin client (acuthin.exe) can be run in a command prompt, executing acuthin will show options -p for pinging the AcuConnect server. The only way to run an alias is acuthin server:port alias-name ... if the alias does not exist and there is a stuck process on the server, you will need to kill that process.
