[archive] General Faxing

[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 06 May 2008]

Hello
According to Microfocus Support there are no sample programs dealing with faxing.
Has anybody here written a program that sends documents to a fax?

RE: [archive] General Faxing

We did an interface to WinFax, but I don't like WinFax and wouldn't recommend it. Surely there is something simpler. Does anyone really fax anymore?

We send about 100 faxes once a month and would like to automate the process with Acucobol.

I may have a program that allows you to send faxes via AcuCobol.

It will take me a day or two to locate it and send a copy.

If I do have a copy, it would have been wriiten AcuCobol version 5.2 and may need some tidying up to fit the later versions.

RE: [archive] General Faxing

On a related note, I am using FAXCOMEXLib
and the following code:

77 fxRcp HANDLE OF FaxRecipients.

CREATE faxrecipients OF FAXCOMEXLib
HANDLE IN fxRcp.

I get a "class not registered" message when I run the program.

Is anybody familiar with FAXCOMEXLib?

Thanks

You may need a license key?

RE: [archive] General Faxing

This message typically comes when the component has not been registered with the computer. Check that it has installed properly.
