[archive] How to place controls on Grid Cells

[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 07 April 2010]

Is it possible to place a control (like button, check box) in the Grid Cells in AcuCOBOL GT.

Please share your ideas.

RE: [archive] How to place controls on Grid Cells

hi,
basically it's true what said by Frost. The trick is to put a bitmap into the grid's cell.
But if you want a control like a combo box or a entry field spinner, or whathever you want you might take a look at the attached program which received some appreciation either internally Micro Focus, either from the customer attending a pubblic event.

The most tricky part of this program is how to get the coordinates and the precise size of the cell (as long as ACUCOBOL-GT won't allow to inquire easily them).

hope this might be of some inspiration.
