[archive] Kbd_data_range

[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 27 October 2005]

Trying to use these configuration values:

KBD_DATA_RANGE_LOW 32
KBD_DATA_RANGE_HIGH 126

to prevent entry of characters outside the ordinary numeric 0 - 9, alpha a-z/A-Z, and special characters. We've found that users can use the alt key and number pad to enter extended ascii values we want to avoid.

Is the configuration variable syntax correct? It does not appear to work for us.

Environment is XP workstations, Thin Client, Linux.
