[archive] Spurious keystrokes

[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 18 November 2005]

Connected to a unix box via a router over the internet, using telnet, we are noticing that occasionaly we are getting extra keystrokes (usually Enter). Logging the keystrokes, we see they appear to be generated externally to the terminal emulator (in this case reflection). Does anyone know what is happening, or can explain a workaround?
