[archive] wrunnet crashing on memory violation and GUI window not closing

[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 07 February 2010]

I am using the wrunnet version 8.10 and in an attempt to make a second call to the same program I am receiving

"Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

I compiled the acu program using the --netdll:2.0 option and incorporated the generated dll's into the program successfully, running in .NET 3.5 SP1 on Windows 7.

I have tried calling the .UnloadProgram and CancelProgram methods on the Cobol virtual machine unsuccessfully.

This seems to be an issue with the screen/window components that are being used within the cobol program. Is there something that needs to be done in the cobol program to terminate the call?

Also, the cobol gui window never closes after the GOBACK line in the cobol program, so I am assuming that the runtime is still holding resources?

thanks for any help...
