NFR 2.0.2.2 problem - eDirectory Object not found

Hi all,
I've just run up Filr Reporter 2.0.2.2 on Win20012 Std. using PostGres DB, Novell Client 2 SP3 IR7a
I have everything configured, green ticks all over.
When I try and login with my username, I'm seeing the error "Directory Services Object not found".

Does anyone have any ideas?

Oops, looks like I skipped over the part where I needed to login with my fdn for my user.

However, now I get this error:

eDirectory NWDSCCODE: ERR_SYSTEM_ERROR [-319].

Any ideas?

Is SLP configured properly in the Novell Client?

Re: NFR 2.0.2.2 problem - eDirectory Object not found

I believe SLP is configured. I used my standard Novell Client deployment which we have running live on hundreds of devices .. it has the same servers / Scope for SLP configured.

If I try a 'SLPINFO /A' on the server, I see our eDir tree, servers.

Any idea where any server log files might be located for the File Reporter stuff?

The engine logs should be here:
C:\ProgramData\Novell\File Reporter\Engine\log

OK, so in the error log, I'm seeing:

UI: LOGIN FAILURE, <username.ou.o> [<my IP Address>]. Result = 281

Any chance you've got address restrictions enabled for your user within
eDir? Or restrictions on concurrent connections?

Maybe try a dstrace/ndstrace to see if there's an error on the NW/OES
side? I'm not sure which server you're hitting, though. You could try
a LAN trace as well from the NFR engine server.

The config itself sounds ok unless there's a bug in the client version.
In my test system at home I'm running NFR 2.0.2.2 on Server 2012,
Client 2 SP3 IR5, and I'm able to login ok using the fdn of my user.

Oh one more thing... is your user a member of the nfradmins group in
eDir?
