Access denied trying to open files in homedir/netfolder

After upgrading to 1.2 users cannot access fies in homedir and netfolders via Filr.
Trustees are intact.
An administrator with full rights in root of volume can access his files.
Backend is OES and eDir.
If a user shares a file with another user, that user can access the file (ie. the proxy users access comes in and works).
But the first user himself cannot access his file that way. Accessing it other ways (direct in homedir) works fine.

Looking in famtd.log gets this:

Looks somewhat similar to a report we saw in Bug 933124; please open an SR and request validation-only fix for this: Bug 933124.

I'm getting this too for one user who cannot open files from a netfolder via the web client. The page errors out instead of downloading the file. The user is a member of the group with rights to the files & folders. Is the patch referenced above still only via SR?
