Editing Microsoft Office files

Using Filr 1.2/Build 4194 - (Novell Filr Appliance

After logging into Filr, when choosing 'Edit this file' from drop menu, we are being asked to authenticate again via a Windows-type login/password prompt. We've been told this has to do with how MS handles WebDav. User enters same credentials as when they just logged into Filr and all is OK.

If user closes Office app and Edits another file, they again get prompted. If user just closes file (not app) and Edits another similar doc, it doesn't prompt.

Is there any way to correct this? Both the additionzal prompt in general other prompts if users closes app.
