Filr 1.1 Issue Desktop Application

The issue I'm seeing if when try to download the Desktop Application, I get "None of the desktop application download URLs are available. Contact your site administrator for about this problem."

Aside from the grammatical error, what is going on? Everything worked fine in 1.0 and 1.0.1. The files are in folder inside of /desktopapp on the appliance.

Go to the Desktop Application section of the admin console. Since this
presumably was an upgrade to 1.1, more than likely "Deploy files
accessed via a URL to another location" is selected and there's a URL
specified in there. Try switching to "Deploy files contained locally"
to see if that makes a difference.

Re: Filr 1.1 Issue Desktop Application

Oddly I am having the same issue with 1.0.1.65 after having applied hot patch 3, 4 and 5 last week. I applied them all back to back so unfortunately I can not say which one caused what to change.

Since the updates the desktop client will not connect to the server either.

Anyhow under system/desktop application I have all 3 check boxes checked, and an url in the auto-update box.

I have tried unchecking saving and rechecking those boxes which made no effect. Browsing directly to the update url gives me a 404. In bash I found there is a folder in /opt/novell/filr/apache-tomat/webapps/desktopapp which does contain the desktop app files.

localhost_access log shows: 10.100.20.77 - - [10/Feb/2015:16:50:06 +0000] "GET /desktopapp/ HTTP/1.1" 404 973

Since you're on 1.0.1 and not 1.1 I think your issue might be
different, especially if your desktop clients won't even connect any
longer. Have you tried updating the clients? With all the security &
hot patches applied that could break communications with the clients
until they're updated.

Re: Filr 1.1 Issue Desktop Application

I'm going to say you're correct it's definitely something different, I've opened a support case. Something appears to have gone terribly wrong but not I'm not sure what, and I don't want to hijack the OP's thread.

Re: Filr 1.1 Issue Desktop Application

Thanks, Joe. That did the trick. I use the URL before, so didn't think about it needing to be changed.
