Filr: Sharepoint 2013 integration FAIL

Hi,

We have integrated our Sharepoint 2013 Server with or Filr and the users can't view their Net Folders due to an error during the login that Filr makes towards the Sharepoint.

The configuration of our Domain Controller is as follow:

  • Domain Name: w2000.clevertest.com
  • NetBIOS: CLEVERTEST

The LDAP configuration in our Filr:

  • URL Server: ldap:w2000.clevertest.com
  • Users: OU=Users,DC=w2000,DC=clevertest,DC=com

User configuration in our AD:

Our Sharepoint accepts the following logins:

  • CLEVERTEST\USER
  • USER@w2000.clevertest.com

The LAN traces shows Filr try a GET with an invalid login "W2000\USER"

  • 21326 107.197432 192.168.1.46 192.168.1.38 HTTP 800 GET /dpto/informatica/_api/web?$select=ServerRelativeUrl HTTP/1.1 , NTLMSSP_AUTH, User: W2000\filrtest
  • 21327 107.201913 192.168.1.38 192.168.1.46 HTTP 536 HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized

Here my questions:

  • Do you know where Filr takes "W2000\USER" if my NetBIOS is "CLEVERTEST\USER"?
  • It's posible to force the login information with "CLEVERTEST\USER" with an specific config file?

Thanks in advance

Re: Filr: Sharepoint 2013 integration FAIL

check your /etc/resolv.conf file; does it have the correct nameservers?

Hi avelasquez,

We want to know more about your AD configuration that you have mentioned earlier.

As you have mentioned, your domain name is 'w2000.clevertest.com' which seems to be the child domain of 'clervertest.com'. But the NetBIOS name of the child domain you have mentioned as 'CLEVERTEST' which normally would be the NetBIOS name of parent domain 'clevertest.com'. Can you please confirm if both parent and child domain has same NetBIOS name ?

The LDAP configuration in our Filr:

URL Server: ldap:w2000.clevertest.com
Users: OU=Users,DC=w2000,DC=clevertest,DC=com

User configuration in our AD:

Logon Name: USER@w2000.clevertest.com
Logon Name (b. windows 2000): CLEVERTEST\USER

Our Sharepoint accepts the following logins:

CLEVERTEST\USER
USER@w2000.clevertest.com

The LAN traces shows Filr try a GET with an invalid login "W2000\USER"

21326 107.197432 192.168.1.46 192.168.1.38 HTTP 800 GET /dpto/informatica/_api/web?$select=ServerRelativeUrl HTTP/1.1 , NTLMSSP_AUTH, User: W2000\filrtest
21327 107.201913 192.168.1.38 192.168.1.46 HTTP 536 HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized

Here my questions:

We are reading the NetBIOS name from the AD server during ldap sync. Can you let us know the output of the following command, you need to replace the ldap proxy user that you had used in Filr while synching users. Also replace the ip address of the ldap used during the sync.

# ldapsearch -D <dc formatted admin name> -w <ldap-password> -s sub -b cn=partitions,cn=configuration,dc=clevertest,dc=com "ncname=dc=w2000,dc=clevertest,dc=com" -H ldap://<ad-server-ip> netbiosname ncname

Hi hargagan,
Thanks for your answer.

"w2000.clevertest.com" is not a child domain.

Re: Filr: Sharepoint 2013 integration FAIL

Hi ksiddiqui,
Thanks for your answer.

/etc/resolv.conf --> search w2000.clevertest.com clevertest.com

We think Filr has the correct nameservers
