Why there patches are no cumulative?

It makes no sense to need to apply each and every one in order

Or maybe there should be two sets

Hi Seb,

I wish I could answer your question as to why, other than perhaps Novell/NetIQ doesn't want to invest the time in creating one. I agree with your assessment though. It would be nice to see a cumulative patch that contained all previous patches for 1.1. After upgrading to 1.1 from 1.0.1 including the manual VMDK->mysqlbackup, applying all the individual patches was time consuming and led to additional unnecessary system down time.

I agree that the process of patching and upgrading Filr has considerable room for improvement. Just add another pain point on top, you have be fully 1.1 patched before moving to 1.2 as that isn't cumulative either.
