It was 1.0 on iPad v6...., but I have upgraded to 1.01 on iPad v7....
and still the problem exists.

I just created a couple of test MS Word files and they opened in Filr for iPad.
Next I gave them passwords from Word on the desktop.
Now we are back to the 44820 error when trying to open on the iPad.
It never asks if I want to enter a password.

OK: Let me ask Novell. I can try and dupe tomorrow.

I can dupe on android, but then again does it depend on what app I use
to open it as not all Android apps understand Word passwords. Same goes
for IOS apparently. What app do you use and can it open a password
protected doc if you say download it from the web?

Anders,

He means that the preview fails with this error, the render engine has
no password feature.. If how ever you then open the file in for
instance quickoffice, that one asks for the password.

This is apparently working as designed:

8.6 Password-Protected Files

Files that have been password-protected in the application where they
were created cannot be viewed on the Novell Filr site. This is working as
designed.

So, I guess this is not something that is going to change? I can live with it.

Thank You for the help and input.
