Server will not delete, it is being reference by Net Folders

After removing some Net Folders, I am trying to delete a Net Folder Server but I keep getting the error message:

"The following Net Folder Servers could not be deleted bcause they are currently being referenced by Net Folders."

There are no references in the Net Folders section to this server.

I finally gave up and deleted and recreated the Filer Server from scratch.

Looks good until a few hours later, this same unwanted server appears out of nowhere and it will not let
me delete it.

Very frustrating and a big waste of my time.

Does anybody have a clue as to what is going on?

I am still in the testing phase, so besides myself there are no other users.

Any chance you have user home directories which are on the
server/volume specified by the NF server? That would seem to explain
what you're seeing, especially with the servers returning a few hours
later (presumably after the next LDAP sync).

I guess I am assuming the data was wiped out when the Original Server was deleted.
Is this not true?

To be able to remove a Net Folder Server, make sure you purge users and their workspaces.

Ugh. So what do we do if we have a folder called "Home" residing on the same volume as a NF?

Well, from this thread it seems that if you have users home folders that reside on the same volume as a NetFolder server folder, then Filr will automatically create a new NetFolder server that cannot be deleted unless all the users are removed and purged - and even then it will recreate the NetFolder server. My question is - how do we prevent this from happening?
