iPad does not honor change of Filr user!!!

Hi

has anyone seen this before?

login on the same iPad with different Filr-Users. Filr shows always account of the first user that logged in!!!

the only workaround we found so far was to switch of the iPad.

this does not happen on Android.

setup:

small-deployment Filr-Appliance 3.2.1 against Active Directory

iPad is on iOS 10.3.3

Filr version on iPad is 3.2.0

Thank you

Antw: iPad does not honor change of Filr user!!!

follow-up:

tried as well on a stone-old iPhone 4 with iOS 7.

There it works correctly!

Of course with a older Filr-Client as the newest Version does not run on iOS7.

Thank you

Andrej

Re: Antw: iPad does not honor change of Filr user!!!

What happens if you log out of the Filr client, then force close the Filr app (double tap the home button, then swipe the app to be closed up), then open the app anew and log in with the different user?

Kind Regards,

Bart.

Re: Antw: iPad does not honor change of Filr user!!!

Hi Bart

yes, if i close the Filr app the cache is cleared and at the next login, the correct user with correct data is shown. I know that.

But none of our iPad-users do.

In my opinion, this is a severe Bug as not only the wrong user is shown in the upper right corner, but also the Net Folder structure of the wrong user is visible. And even when the files can not be opened for lack of missing rights, this should not be like it is now.

I opened a SR in meanwhile and consequently, a Bug has been created by MF. But i do have no idea if development will consider it as a bug as i do.

The best option would be if the cached data were "per user". If that is not possible, there should be a check at login if the login-user has changed from the previous user and that being case, the cache should be cleared.

Thank you.

Re: iPad does not honor change of Filr user!!!

Hi Andrej,

Thanks for posting this query on the forum.

We are aware of this issue and had seen this in the past. We didn't consider this as a major problem, considering the devices are normally personally owned and not shared. But with the current situation this is not the case, so we are considering to fix this.

Thanks.
