HPE Security Toolkit and WebInspect

Jump to solution

Hi, I have a question about HPE Security Toolkit. What is it exactly and is it as part of HPE WebInspect. I mean if we purchase a license for WebInspect does it have Security Toolkit in itself or we have to buy it separately. Thank You in Advance

The toolkit comes installed with WebInspect.  The separate installer allows a subset of the tools to be used on machines that do not have WebInspect installed - no additional license is required to use them.

HPE Security Toolkit was initially created for AMP and WebInspect Enterprise customers whose developers wanted some of the workbench tools that are included with WebInspect (desktop) and that usually only the security testing staff had access to.  As Phil stated, this free Toolkit offers only a subset of the items found in WebInspect's Tools menu, such as Web Proxy, HTTP Editor, et al.
