Notification - LIM License Activation URL Change

To users of the License and Infrastructure manager (or LIM) - please note that the URL for license activation, update and refresh which was previously set in the product to https://licenseservice.HPSmartUpdate.com has now changed to https://licenseservice.fortify.hpe.com.

When attempting to license a new LIM installation, update the license for an existing LIM installation or make any changes to the product (WebInspect) license that LIM manages, you may encounter an error stating The remote name could not be resolved: 'licenseservice.hpsmartupdate.com'

To resolve the issue, please modify the license server URL that you will find under Admin->Server Configuration in the LIM administration console to  https://licenseservice.fortify.hpe.com.

Re: Notification - LIM License Activation URL Change

The same sort of change has occurred for the SmartUpdate URL, although most installations should have had their configured address auto-updated by running SmartUpdate earlier.  The LIM is a quietly supportive product where users may not open it directly nor SmartUpdate it on a frequent basis to have caught this change.

(old) https://smartupdate.hpsmartupdate.com >>>  https://smartupdate.fortify.hpe.com  (new)
