Suppress issues across multiple versions

Jump to solution

Hello,

With each new release (every 2 weeks), we create a new version in Fortify.  We have gone through and suppressed false positives and issues in previous versions.  However when we create a new version and scan that new version, it finds all the old findings that we suppressed in earlier versions.

How can we get suppression rules to persist across versions?

Thanks!

Hi Ace,

When creating a new version, base the new version off a previous/existing version by checking the "Use existing application version" checkbox and then make sure to check the "Application State" checkbox which will copy previous analysis information (tags, comments, suppression, etc) from the previous version.

See screenshot attached
