Re: WebInspect 16.10 SQL versions supported

According to HPE_SSC_Sys_Reqs_16.10.pdf, only the following versions of Express, Standard, or Enterprise MSSQL are Supported.  These are the releases that have been thoroughly tested by our QA.  I know I have seen issues when using newer Service Packs for SQL Express, but it is quite possible that SP3 for SQL 2012 will work, especially when SP2 is the Recommended.

SQL Server  (Standard or Enterprise Edition)

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 with SP2 | Recommended, No scan database limit
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 with SP1 | No scan database limit
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 with SP1 | No scan database limit

SQL Server Express

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express with SP1 | Recommended, 10 GB scan database limit
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express with SP2 | 10 GB scan database limit, Recommended when installing
    WebInspect as a sensor
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express R2 with SP3 | 10 GB scan database limit
