WebInspect scan getting paused once server gets idle

Jump to solution

Hello Everyone,

We are running WI 19.20 scan in a windows server 2016.And we access this server from our laptop through mstsc or remote desktop connection.
But the problem is during WI scanning once our remote desktop connection getting closed and after some idle time, the scan that was running getting paused.
We ran the scan and thought it will complete during night, but in morning when we login to that server got to see the scan got paused.
So it is forcing us to monitor the scan all time.

Can you please help us to resolve this issue?

This sounds like the remote session is getting terminated upon inactivity and not specifically WebInspect - https://serverfault.com/questions/269438/how-to-stop-remote-desktop-from-closing-my-session-due-to-inactivity

As a workaround you can use the scheduling feature in WebInspect.
