I am unable to login to my Micro Focus account.

Hello,

I have created a Micro Focus account and requested the Data Protector free trial. I have received a confirmation email entitled "Welcome to Your Data Protector Trial" which provides me with the link to login into my account. My login attempts are unsuccessful, even though I am using the same email address that I created the account with. This is also the same email address that I received the welcome email. I have attempted to reset the password, but I  never receive the password reset email.

I have tried the following steps to solve this problem:

1) Creating a new account.

2) Contacting live chat support.

3) Calling the support phone number.

4) Contacting my Development Rep

5) Completed a ticket to receive a call from a specialist (no response, even though I received confirmation that a specialist will call me soon).

These solutions do not produce any results. The support team, when contacted, direct me to someone else that I have already contacted. If I am unable to login to my account, I cannot get the compressed packages. If I cannot get the compressed packages, I cannot test the software. If I cannot test the software, the enterprise for which I work will not purchase it. 

Any help would be appreciated.

@protect4life  If after you've tried everything @Victor_F_DP  has suggested and still get no help, my suggestion would be to try the Data Protector sales contact page here:  https://www.microfocus.com/en-us/products/data-protector-backup-recovery-software/contact#mounted   There is a chat window there.  Someone in the sales organization should be able to help you get the trial one way or the other.  Good luck.

Unfortunately, we are DP support directly and we do not manage the page. 

I can recommend you two things: 

1. Access the chat of Contact Center: https://softwaresupport.softwaregrp.com/web/softwaresupport/chat-language-selection 

2. Contact your sales representative.

Hello,

Thanks for your response. I realize it is not the correct forum. I was in fact directed here after calling the support number.

I have contacted the live chat, they indicated to me that they do not cover the free trial of Data Protector. They then directed me to a general documentation page, which was of no use.

I have contacted my sales rep, and he directed me to the support number, that subsequently directed me here.

I was directed to my sales rep by a different live chat agent. This was a live chat that is available when you create your account. This agent basically didn't know what to do, and then told me that a rep would email me.

It's basically a support loop. I do appreciate your efforts, however. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Hello @protect4life

I just confirmed with a contact in Contact Center that this request of your is only managed for Sales team as you do not have an active support contract. 

So if they send you again to the chat, tell them this. 

You need help from sales, not support team.
