GroupWise 7: How to find out if Appointment is marked 'Private'

Hi,

I create Appointments via GroupWise 7 WebService and then mark some of them
as 'Private' by sending markPrivateRequest. This all works fine. However,
when I retrieve those Appointments I have not yet found a way to find out if
they are marked 'Private' or not. Can it be done? If so, how?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,
Paul

Re: GroupWise 7: How to find out if Appointment is marked 'Private'

Check the <status> element resp. it's sub-elements; there you'll find "private" (if
defined).
What have you set for <view> when retrieving your appointments?
I suppose you have to define "default" to get the <status> element in yr response.

Re: GroupWise 7: How to find out if Appointment is marked 'Private'

Markus,

Thanks for your answer. I forgot to mention that I use C#/.NET to access
GroupWise Web Service. The code generated by VisualStudio 2005 contains the
class ItemStatus which has two following relevant properties:
- @private
- privateSpecified

As it turns out, the attribute privateSpecified is only ever set to true
when @private is true. So for an item that is not 'Private' both of these
properties are set to false. This is a bit odd since for an item that is not
'Private' I expected privateSpecified to be true and @private to be false.
But anyway, knowing this now I could solve my immediate problem. Thanks
again.

Paul
