Querying for group/distribution list

Hello,

Currently we are trying to query the distribution or groups list from the GWWS, but the only thing we get is a huge list of users, which are from all groups.
We are using this filter:

<getItemsRequest>
<container>GroupWiseSystemAddressBook@52</container>
<view>default members</view>
<filter>
<elements>
<op>and</op>
<element>
<op>eq</op>
<field>@type</field>
<value>Group</value>
</element>
<element>
<op>eq</op>
<field>name</field>
<value>Developers</value>
</element>
</elements>
</filter>
</getItemsRequest>

Is there someone who can provide us with the right filter ?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Querying for group/distribution list

From the documentation:

System Address Book
Creating a filter for system address book items can use the following schema
element names for the
FilterEntry field. Some fields take only certain FilterOp operations. The
e-mail address is not a part
of the fields that are available to search. The e-mail address is not
indexed. It is built from the parts,
such as displayName@iDomain.
􀂊 created
􀂊 @type–use FilterOp.eq only
􀂊 department
􀂊 fullName/firstName
􀂊 fullName/lastName
􀂊 username–login ID to GroupWise
􀂊 uuid–use FilterOp.eq only
􀂊 domain
􀂊 postOffice
􀂊 displayName

Try:
<filter>
<element>
<op>and</op>
<element>
<op>eq</op>
<field>@type</field>
<value>Group</value>
</element>
<element>
<op>eq</op>
<field>fullName/firstName</field>
<value>Developers</value>
</element>
</element>
</filter>

Groups usually have the firstName and
lastName set to the same value.

Re: Querying for group/distribution list

Thanks for your response.
We got it working using this filter:

			<getItemsRequest>
<container>GroupWiseSystemAddressBook@52</container>
<view>default members</view>
<filter>
<elements>
<op>and</op>
<element type="FilterEntry">
<op>eq</op>
<field>@type</field>
<value>Group</value>
</element>
<element type="FilterEntry">
<op>eq</op>
<field>username</field>
<value>Developers</value>
</element>
</elements>
</filter>
</getItemsRequest>

Re: Querying for group/distribution list

I've got one more question,

Is it posible, and if so, how can I filter the response items I get back from SOAP?

For example, when I query the distributionlist, I only want the member's username, and not the id, itemtype, email, or any other data.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Querying for group/distribution list

I believe you are asking to set the view
element. What you set in the view are the
fields that are returned.
