Reading task data

I am trying to read task data using the soap API, and their appears to be a lot of missing data in
the output files produced by the API. For background, I start by calling GetFolderListRequest, then
looking for the folder with a folderType of "checklist". I take the folderId, and using a cursor,
obtain all the MsgIds in that folder. At this point, I have the correct number of MsgIds as the
number of tasks I have created. Now, I call getItemRequest for each MsgId. At first I used a blank
view, since I though that was supposed to return everything. Then I tried a view set to
"default checklist attachment". I am still missing many items, such as the percent complete, I do
have some basic items, such as start date/due date, and priority. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Reading task data

First, you need to use getItemsRequest to retrieve mail items
(Mail, Appointment, Note, Task, PhoneMessage).
Even if you are getting one item.
There are a few scenarios where getItemRequest will not work.

Next, you need to check what version you are using in loginRequest.
If you don't pass a version string, the code will default to the
base schema. If you pass a version string that is later than
the POA supports, it will revert to the base schema.
In the GroupWise.wsdl file, there is a list of the different
schema versions strings and when they were first used.
You can specify an older (previous) schema version string and
the POA will only return those schema variables.

I've published, in the past, what was in each version.
I don't believe GW 14.x is still supported, so I would imagine
that would need to pass "1.09".

Let me know if you still have problems.
If you still have problems, send me a SOAP trace of your
getItemsRequest.

Re: Reading task data

Using version 1.09 did the trick, thank you.
