using the ItemGetText can you get Names?

I'm using the following VB code to attempt to get the name:
James<james@me.com> to copy so I can paste it in the message body

ParamStr = "ItemGetText(""" + MyMessageID + """; 0)"
iRet = vCommander.Execute(ParamStr, adrTo)
ParamStr = "FocusSet(10)"
iRet = vCommander.Execute(ParamStr, sResult)
ParamStr = "Type(""" + adrTo + """)"
iRet = vCommander.Execute(ParamStr, sResult)

but it is returning james@me.com

am I doing something wrong?

Re: using the ItemGetText can you get Names?

Which version of GroupWise are you using?

I have the same problem with GroupWise 6.5 and found out
that this is a bug. A DEFECT is already created for this.
