AUTO sync folders

DataSync build 343, gw agents are 8.02HP1 (yes I know)

When I look at my folders, they do a MANUAL sync. Is there a way to get ALL folders to ALWAYS auto-sync and notify? I have users who wont get off of IMAP for that reason. If its WAD, can I request this as a new feature?

Re: AUTO sync folders

Yup. WAD. Isn't that the way ActiveSync works? I think so...works on my Gmail account the same way.

How so? On my Android phone, using the Gmail app, I can specify
certain folders automatically sync X days.

What phone and Android version do you have? I have EVO, and an EVO shift (Android 2.2.x) both do not have that option as far as I can tell...

HTC Incredible, Android 2.2.

In the Gmail app:

Menu->More->Settings->Labels

First option is number of days to sync, which applies to all labels
(folders).

Then for each individual label you can choose to sync none, the days to
sync setting, or all.

If you don't have that... make sure you have the latest version of the
Gmail app installed.

Re: AUTO sync folders

Well maybe not. The app is called "HTC mail", which is really weird, because you have an HTC also! Mine claims to be version 2.00 of course with no "Labels" setting...

You're using the generic app which is probably accessing Gmail via IMAP
(or POP). Search the market for Gmail and you'll find the
Gmail-specific app written by Google.

Re: AUTO sync folders

My iPhone 4G also can auto sync (push) with the main inbox only, all of the
sub-folder in GroupWise cannot be auto sync and I need to click in the sub
folder to manual download the mail.
I have already selected all sub folder in the Exchange Accounts setting. Is
it anything I forgot to setup in my iphone or Data Sync server? Pls advise.
Thanks!

As already mentioned elsewhere in the thread, this is WAD.

Re: AUTO sync folders

This is a datasync -> groupwise issue. nothing to do with gmail, or the gmail app. This as far as i know always used the generic android mail client that speaks exchange. The oprion for labels that somone spoke of are in fact present in the gmail app, but as i said this isnt a gmail issue.
