Adding Users from another tree

The documentation for Messenger (SP1) has step by step instructions on

adding users in another tree to your messenger system, using LDAP.
I've
followed them, and can either get it to authenticate against my
production
tree OR my test tree, but not both. (So I'm sure LDAP is working and
configured properly in both trees)

We have a dedicated Novell Support Engineer at our account. He can't
get it
to work either. I opened an incident with Premium support, who first
told
me it wasn't possible, until I told them what page of the docs to look
at.
They said they'd call back once they figured it out (they were going
to the
developers for help)... that was a week ago.

Has anyone gotten this to work? If we can get this to work, we want
to get
rid of all other IM's.

Re: Adding Users from another tree

We are looking into this here at Novell.

Re: Adding Users from another tree

I have received a reply from Novell Support. As soon as I test it,
I'll let you know if it worked and what TID# it becomes.
