Address Book Internal Error

Has anyone seen this error before? If you click ok it seems to work as it should. This is occurring on our Exec VP's system.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

Which address book is generating this error - GroupWise system address book, or personal address book?

Please let us know.

Re: Address Book Internal Error

Hi,

If it is only one user then please get them to login to GroupWise on a different machine and see if the problem follows them. This step is critical in determining if it is a user database issue or a workstation issue.

Please let us know how it goes.

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

Re: Address Book Internal Error

On second thought it could be a personal address book. We use Saleslogix (SLX) as our CRM. We then use Linkpoint360 for GroupWise to connect to SLX and sync it with GW and GW with SLX. At first sync Linkpoint360 creates a "CRM" address book in GW and syncs it with SLX. It could be that addressbook.

Re: Address Book Internal Error

Hi,

Ok, well run a GWCheck, untick Struture, tick Contents and the Fix Problems and run that, preferably with the user logged out of both GroupWise and Notify.

Try that and let us know.

Re: Address Book Internal Error

Hi Bill,

Would also recommend running a GWCheck for that user and using the pabonly and pabfix options in separate passes of GWCheck to clear up any problems with the user's Personal Address Book.

Be sure to untick structure, and tick Contents and the Fix Problems, and then use the pabfix on the Misc tab, once that has completed then do the same again but with the pabfix option on the Misc tab.

Please let us know how it goes.
