Address Book phone numbers and extensions

I have been trying to figure out a method to place the extension of each clients phone in the Novell GroupWise Address Book in a way that they can still be used to dial. I haven't been able to find a object for extensions and don't want to just add it to the phone number since those with cell phones can't use the contact info to dial the number. Has anyone tried to do this? Any ideas on how to provide this information to the end user?

Thanks

Most phones use a comma as the "extension pause" marker. So you could add a
comma to the end of the number, and then put in the extension.
