The first point, which I assume is a type: There is no NetWare 8!

Increase the logging level to verbose or diagnostic (I can't remember
what provides the greatest detail). Then check the logs for any clues
as to what may be happening.

Also, can you confirm your NetWare/Spx versions.

Diagnostic shows more than verbose, though I think for this verbose
will likely shows what the issue is.

would that be NetWare 6.5.8?
The version command at the server prompt should help.

Yes my mistake wanted to get this out there Netware (NOES) 6.5 SP 8, Logging has only 3 option on, of and verbose which it is set on.

Re: Administrator has temporarily closed your post office

That was rookie error in my rush to get this out there. Netware (OES) 6.5 SP8 Logging set to verbose but I can't see anything that helps in the log.

Hi Vivian,

Andy and I can try to help you but so far you have provided few details.

> I have off course re enabled it after the rebuild

Did you follow this procedure?
TID 7008594 The system administrator has temporarily closed you
Postoffice. Please try again later.
https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7008594

Does it now show that it is enabled?

Were there any unusual messages in the logs related to the rebuild?

What logs did you check?

Are there any clues in the POA log when the POA is started?

> I rebuilt a post office as I was user password invalid issues

Was the password issue affecting just one mailbox or all of them?

How big is this post office?

Is there anything else that happened that may have contributed to this
issue?

At this point, we know little about what might be causing this issue.
Before exploring solutions, we need to better understand the problem.

Re: Administrator has temporarily closed your post office

TID 7008594 Yes followed that.
Yes shows as enabled
No usual message during rebuild was all OK

The password issue was affecting one mailbox at the time but has happened before occasionally
Post office has 620 users and is about 222GB in size
I ran a standalone gwcheck analyse/fix on the post office with the user database. and had a lot of the following errors
Error checking file 49CC4F77.000, INVALID_STORE_NUM (0xC067)
- Error checking file 4A7D6E4F.000, INVALID_STORE_NUM (0xC067)

No nothing else happened as far as I am aware

Hi Vivien,

I'm sorry to hear that...

Am I understanding you correctly?

Then you rebuilt the post office?

And now you get the message "Administrator has temporarily closed your
post office"?

There are quite a few old TIDs dealing with C607 errors.
https://www.novell.com/support/kb/?range_3=&range_6=&range_12=&sortby=relevance&sortbyStateId=true&q=C067&advanced=false&product%5B%5D=&searchFor=all&doctype%5B%5D=DT_TID_1_1&from=&to=&archive=true&bu_novell=true&bu_netiq=true&bu_suse=true

The C607 error almost always means some database corruption.
See TID 7002351 The Definitive C05D and C067 TID
https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7002351

While this TID refers to GW 2012 & GW 2014 it provides this useful
piece of information:

> The C067 is always that the database in question is found on disk but
> is not registered in the guardian database.

Reviewing some of the other TIDS may provide a better understanding of
how this error impacts your system.

I hope you have a current backup...

Your best option at this point would be to open a Service Request with
Micro Focus. As long as you have maintenance on a current version of
GroupWise they will try to help.

If you are unable to open an SR or would prefer to try and resolve this
on your own, I would suggest.

1. Make sure you have a Current backup.

2. If you were getting the c607 errors before you rebuilt the post
office, I would restore the post office to the backup I know you made
before rebuilding it and try to resolve the C607 errors before
attempting a post office rebuild.
