Archiving question
Hello.
One of our users told the following to me:
When he archives messages from a specific folder, the message is inside the archive in a folder with another name. We're running GW 2014 Sp2 (Win7 Sp1 on client, sles 11 Sp3 OES11 Sp2 on server)
The users archive is large. There are more than 50.000 files with nearly 36GB.
What happens here? The user told me, that the folders wasn't renamed (?).
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Best regards.

Re: Archiving question
Hi Dirk,
Personally, I have never come across this! But, what GWChecks have your run against the archive?
Cheers,

Re: Archiving question
Hello Laura.
Thanks for your answer. I never note this before, too.
I will run a gwcheck, when the user is available agein. Its time for holiday for the moment here in Germany.
You've got the result, when all are back in office.
Regards
Dirk

I wouldn't believe him, because what you see is exactly what happens if you rename a folder in the live mailbox after archiving the first mail from that very folder 🙂
You could try renaming the folder in the archive to match the folder name in the live mailbox, or you could unarchive, delete the folder in the archive, then archive again.

Re: Archiving question
Good morning Uwe.
That's what I suppose, too.
I will test the renaming for me. For the moment I have to fix some trouble with our storagesystem...
Regards from Hannover
