Blank inbox with WA on Windows 7?

I have one user reporting that when he accesses WA on his Windows 7 machine his inbox folder doesn't show any messages. He says he can go to any other folder and it works fine. He provided me a screen shot and it doesn't show he has a filter activated or anything simple like that. The problem happens on IE 9 or Chrome. When using WA from XP, the inbox displays OK. I thought it was maybe because this was a new user that was created after the 12 update but I can't duplicate it with another new user I created. WA logs are in verbose mode and don't show anything unusual.

Anyone else seeing this? Ideas? Not ready to call it a WA problem yet since it does seem to be limited to one user on one PC.

WA 2012 on OES 2 sp3. The problem presents itself to this user with both the shipping code of 2012 as well as build 99720 which was provided to me to fix another minor WA issue.

Sounds like it may be a “Rights” issue - - Check the "rights" of the affected User against the "rights" of the newly created User. You can also assign a "new" User access to the affected User for troubleshooting.

Also try back-revving IE to version 8 and see if the problem continues.

I've gotten a few more details and it looks like it is indeed a WA problem. Not sure if it's a bug or I can tweak a config setting somewhere.

For this one user, using WA 2012:
--The inbox always shows blank. No received items are viewable
--Using the "unread" folder, he can see messages until he reads them once.
--Sent Items show fine.
--Using the "basic" interface, he can see received inbox messages just fine
--The problem occurs on XP and Win 7 using multiple browsers - Chrome, IE, and FF tested.

It is more than likely a corrupt message in the Inbox that is causing the issue.
What happens if you move everything out of the mailbox into a temporary folder.
Do new messages start showing up?

Hi,

Not that this helps, but, this just started happening to me today as well. I am using WA 2012 on a OES2sp3 on SLES10; clients firefox, linux opensuse 12.1 and also on SLED10 and SLED11. Everything was fine earlier today then nothing in the inbox after I used "contacts", but, unread shows the mail.

I finally sat down with the user yesterday and got this working.

First, using the quick filter in the upper right corner, putting in any filter would show the appropriate mail for that filter. Putting in "*" seemed to show all mail. That was a good workaround.

Then, I moved all the mail into another folder a few at a time. It turned out the very first message the account received was the problem. I don't see anything unusual about the message. I forwarded it to my account as an attachment. In that state anyway, it didn't cause my account any problems.

The issue was still there with build 99876 which I installed to resolve another issue.

Hope this helps someone else out there.
