Can't change description of groups in GW Admin Console

I noticed that I cannot change the description for any distribution lists
that were already in existence when we upgraded to GW 2014. The description
is not even in an editable box.

Any new groups/DLs I create are able to have the description changed. Is
this a known issue? Is there any way around it other than to delete the
group and recreate it?

It's not a big deal, but I have some large groups that I use the description
to denote when the group was last updated.

Re: Can't change description of groups in GW Admin Console

For better or worse, when you upgrade from GW 2012, the DL objects (as well as resources) are still associated to it's edir counterpart, even though there is really no need to keep them associated. This may be a design flaw in the upgrade process. That said, if you dissociated the DL (now group in GW) from the edir object, you should be able to edit the description.

Side note: in the Group list in GW 2014 admin console, you can add a column showing the Last Modification time of the object. When you're in the Group List, select the cog icon to the left of the ? help icon, and you can select which columns to display in the list.
