Can you disable personal archives

GroupWise 2014 sp1 system. Customer has some users using personal archives. In the process of implementing a archiver into the mix. Going to use a special tool to do a one time pull of their personal archives. Once that is done, we want to prohibit use of personal archives. Only thing I have come up with is to do to domain and set a file location of any bogus path there for the personal archive and lock it down across the board. Now that will throw an error when the user tries to archive, but I see no other option in turning this off. Does anyone know of a better way of disabling personal archives?
