Cannot Uninstall Groupwise 8

Have Groupwise client version 8.0.2 on a number of machines which are having a few issues and cannot uninstall the application.
When going to Add/Remove Programs when selecting 'Remove' or 'Change' the uninstall routine appears to run but when finished Groupwise is still in the program list AND the application launches normally. This is the case even after a reboot.

Workstations are HP 6005 small-form factors running Windows XP SP3.

No previous versions of Groupwise were on these machines.

Anyone else seen this issue?

Re: Cannot Uninstall Groupwise 8

Not specifically, but some suggestions...

Do the uninstall as the/an Administrator.
Run the client installation executable again (gw802_hp3_client_win_en.exe or whichever one you have) and choose Remove.
Download and run CleanIt by Email Essentials Inc and the Nexic GroupWise Client Remover. One may be better than the other, or not, but these are the two that we use.

You may still want to run the cleaner(s) even if the uninstall completes to be sure nothing remains.
