Changing Domainname

Hello.

We're using a GW 8.0.2 sp2 system. We have to plan changing the domainname.
In C1 I can add a second domainname comma seperated. So far, so good.
What's about the mailboxes? I suppose we have make a "smart" change of our domain. So that our mailboxes are reachable some times with both domain names.
So user@ntb-infoline.de is for some months also with the new domain user@ntbwelt.de .

Ist this configuration possible?

Thanks in advance for your anwsers.

Best regards.

Totally wrong place. You're in the GWIAs foreign domain name, that's not
where you add or change the domain. The domains are in Groupwise System
Operations > Internet Addressing.

That's the immediate default. All defined domains (once you're in the
right place, you'll see) immediately work, the one you define as default
is the one that's used for outgoing messages, unless overriden
individually at PO or user level.

Re: Changing Domainname

You just add the new domain name to the list in C1 under Tools/GW system
operations / internet addressing

Mark that as the preferred domain and your new domain becomes the outgoing
address. Mail will be accepted for any of the domains in the list.

See this link - it's the same in GW8 as GW2012.

From you mentioning comma separated, it sounds like you are filling in the
names in the GWIA properties, you don't need to do that any more

Cheers Dave
