Client Auto Update missing GWIPUPDT.DLL

Hi Forum,

I'm just curious why many clients of our customer informs the users that there is an update available.
Because the the client is on the same version as the server (BUILD 96933)

Is there any connection from the client to the internet?

How can I disable the automatic update checks?

In the logfiles I get many of these:

Error: [8209] on /$SDD$/SOFTWARE/client/GWIPUPDT.DLL

Thanks in advance,
Pascal

Re: Client Auto Update missing GWIPUPDT.DLL

Pascal,

the exact process is documented in the GW manual, but IMHO the easiest solution is to disable the SDD on the POA object in C1.

Re: Client Auto Update missing GWIPUPDT.DLL

Uwe,

thanks for the hint. Maybe I'll find another way instead of disabling the SDD, then I will post it here.

Cheers,
Pascal

That's the way you are supposed to work, but I find disabling the SDD easier 🙂
