Creating tree and edirectory admin account on GW server

Hi all,

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but it is something i find very little information on.
So, i have a freshly installed SLES 11 SP4 server and i would want to make it a GroupWise 2012 SP4 server for testing purposes.
I first install edirectory (the latest version) then ConsoleOne and then Groupwise.
When i use Console One to authenticate to the tree, there is no tree to be found and no admin edirectory account configured. I used the nds command to create both the tree and the username admin but on the last check it does, it finds an error and can't finish the process.
Am i doing something wrong? is there an easier way to create the first tree on a server? Could you please guide me through step by step on this particular issue i keep facing?

Regards,
Anthony

Hi Anthony

At this point you have an eDir issue, not a GroupWise issue, so for more
help, the eDir forum is over under the NetIQ umbrella (for now)
https://forums.netiq.com/forumdisplay.php?16-eDirectory
Note that outside of older GroupWise use (up to GW2012) ConsoleOne is
no-longer used, so make sure you get some familiarization with iManager
first which is the web based interface to eDir
https://yourserverIPorName/nps/servlet/portalservice

At this point, is eDir even running? Check with the server command:
rcndsd status
What error did it give you? That will tell us a whole lot. You might just
have to reinstall that bit.
How much system resources did you give this box?
