Custom Views folder doesn't work!

We have recently update Groupwise to 8.01hp1. Inside the new client I have a "Custom Views" folder setup ("H:\Groupwise_Views") in the Environment options. For some reason this does not work in the updated Client. In the Groupwise 7.03 client with this custom view folder defined, the drop down next to "New Mail" included my Custom views. Any ideas what may be happening here?

Thanks for all of your assistance,

Charlie

Re: Custom Views folder doesn't work!

A reply to my OWN message!

It appears that something changed in the format of Groupwise 8.01 views. If I "Open" the views created in Groupwise 7 one at a time and REsave them, they now display in the "New Mail" dropdown list!

Re: Custom Views folder doesn't work!

I had something similar happen.
Go to File - Open
Open each view file & resave, you can use the same file name.

It's a bit of a chore and I'd hate to have to do it for a lot of users but it brought them back into the New Mail dropdown
Sheelagh

then they all reappeared in the "New Mail" dropdown.

Re: Custom Views folder doesn't work!

I have a user with 159 custom views. Does anyone know of a bulk way to do
this or other options?

Probably better to get them implicated in some horrid scandal and lose
their medical license.

There's no API whatsoever AFAIK for this.
