DVA - enable SSL

Jump to solution

I'm wanting to setup GroupWise Web and so I am finally getting around to enabling SSL on my GroupWise system.  (GroupWise 18.2.1)  The hold-up is the DVA.  The docs are lacking.  I do see in GW Admin > System > Document Viewer Agent where I can enable SSL for each of my DVAs.  But there is nothing in there where I can specify the certificates.  And just enabling SSL does nothing.  Anyone want to share how they did it?  Thanks!

/etc/opt/novell/groupwise/gwha.conf

The section for gwdva should already exist, it might be needed to adapt the filename.

https://www.novell.com/documentation/groupwise18/gw18_guide_admin/data/adm_dva_config_basic_ssl.html

While Corona overtook certificates in the "plague of the 21st. century" ranking, the latter is still there.

I saw that page.  Doesn't help.  It doesn't tell where to find the DVA file.  And I have searched and cannot find a DVA file on my system.

My google-fu was better today.  Just found the answer.  This command will create the dva startup file.

gwadminutil services -i -dva /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/share/postoffice.dva

Laura,

Thanks, but that was the first place I looked and the file did not exist.  I edited my previous post though...after finding a command that would created the startup file.

But now I need to figure out how to associate that startup file with the DVA process.  Suggestions?
