Deploy GW12.02 using Zenworks 11.2

Hello,
I found several howtos to deploy gw2012 client unattended using a "setupip.fil" and Zenworks. This file exists only in downloadable GW2012. If I want to deploy the newer client 12.02 I don 't find the appropriate setupip.fil

Is there a way to create a setupip using the 12.02 version? Or how can the actual gw2012 client be distributed otherwise?

Thanks for your help,

Holger

The natural and logical way to deploy Groupwise with Zenworks is via MSI.

But why 12.02? The current version is is 2012.03HP1:

GW Client 12.03hp is ok, the problem is the same.

I've tried "MSI" too (AdminStudio, captured an installation to build a msi-file), but after a lot of tests I'm nerved by several MSI 1401 errors I cannot get rid of...
Do you now a better way for GW-client unattended installation or how to build a msi-file?

You're thinking way to complicated. Groupwise comes as/with an MSI. No
need for adminstudio.

Hello Massimo,
maybe I'm a little bit "blind", but the client installation file - when I unpack it - comes with a lot of files (one of course is named "groupwise.msi").
But it doesn't run unattended with the settings I need. And the customizer "gwtuner" needs the "setupip.fil" which only comes with the old GW12.0.0.

Hi Holger,

Perhaps this documentation will assist you: https://www.novell.com/documentation/groupwise2012/gw2012_guide_interop/data/bqy3ksu.html

It does when started with the usual .msi command line options. It
automatically runs unattended when started through ZCM of course, with
default options. The rest is in the docs. 😉
