Distribution List ?

Is there a method where users can subscribe/un-subscribe to a Distribution list ?
We have a lot of users complaining that they do not want to get non business related messages.
Some users within our system send messages about "Fund Raisers"","Bake sales", or Tickets they are trying to unload to the Everyone Group.

Has anyone else had this issue?
How did you resolve it?

Doesn't sound like a techincal problem, but rather a human problem.
The people sending these non-business e-mails should be reminded of the
organization's acceptable use policy, assuming such e-mails are
forbidden by the AUP. If the AUP doesn't mention anything, then a
simple polite reminder to think twice before sending such e-mails is
probably in order.

One of the places I worked allowed non business emails to be
sent/broadcast out, but required that the subject had a specific prefix
- people could then set up a rule to automatically delete any emails
with the prefix if they didn't want to receive them.

Re: Distribution List ?

Orjust let the admins/selected others use wildcard addressing for any
genuine mail to everyone, and trim down the 'Everyone' distribution list
to only those interested in the small ads.

Cheers Dave
