Error: Outgoing server does not support authentication

Hi
I'm trying to connect an Eris to a newly installed Mobility server (first connection). I'm pointing to the public IP of the Mobility server, SSL port 443 but get the error:
Your outgoing server does not support authentication. Any idea why? The users were populated from the C1 Mobility Group, I assume names and passwords came across correctly.
Thanks for your help.

Hmm... outgoing server? Sounds like you're setting up a POP/IMAP
account and not ActiveSync.
