Error SSL

I have a working GroupWise Mobility service, but recently had to change
the SSL certificate, because the validity of the previous expired.
Unfortunately, from that moment Symbian phones can not connect to the
server, what's interesting when you set up a mailbox on the phone, eg .:
Nokia E72 error pops up a certificate that was used previously and not
the one that is played currently. Is there any way to call saw a new
certificate?

Re: Error SSL

Hi

The new concatanated certificates need to be updated in two places.

Device Connection Certificate: /var/lib/datasync/device/mobility.pem
Web Admin Console Certificate: /var/lib/datasync/webadmin/server.pem

Both of these services need to be restarted in order for GMS to "read" the new certificates.

Let us know if you have done all the above - thanks.

Cheers,

Re: Error SSL

Both certificates are replaced with new ones:
mobility.pem
server.pem

It is interesting that by typing in the cell https://mydomain.pl address (server address for mobile devices), Android and Symbian page opens (Nokia E72, Nokia E52) has a problem connecting to this site. I wonder if what I have certificate is not a coincidence "bad" for Symbian.

Re: Error SSL

Hi,

Are you getting an error that the certificate is not trusted? Just by the way, who issued the certificate?

Please let us know - thanks.

Re: Error SSL

It seems to me that the previous certificate was generated using three different SHA1 and the new one is using the SHA2 and this is probably the problem for Symbian.

Re: Error SSL

Hi,

When you login to the GMS management console does the certificate work correctly there?

Re: Error SSL

By browsers are OK, doing so on the phone with Android also is OK, but Symbian has a problem.

Re: Error SSL

Hi,

I'm not sure what to suggest as I no longer have Symbian based phones to test my newly replaced certificates. If the certificates are working fine on other platforms then I assume that you don't have an issue with your GMS system.

Perhaps someone else from the community has a Symbian phone that they can test with and report back?

But is there some other problem with the cert??
There are a number of SSL checkers that can be set to look at your cert
and tell you a number of things. Your cert provider often has such a
tool and here are a number of them I use.
