Error messages fill up the log; AJP misconfigured?

Hi,

I get the following entrys in cataline.out each second:

<code>
org.apache.jk.common.MsgAjp processHeader
SEVERE: BAD packet signature 18245
</code>
and
<code>
org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket processConnection
SEVERE: Error, processing connection
java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException
at java.io.BufferedInputStream.read(BufferedInputStream.java:339)
at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.read(ChannelSocket.java:645)
at
org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.receive(ChannelSocket.java:602)
at
org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.processConnection(ChannelSocket.java:710)
at
org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket$SocketConnection.runIt(ChannelSocket.java:915)
at
org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.ThreadPool$ControlRunnable.run(ThreadPool.java:690)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:798)
</code>

I found that this could have the reason in server.xml where a connector
is defined:

<code>
<Connector port="8009" protocol="AJP/1.3" redirectPort="8443" />
</code>

It is secure to disable this connector? Does this have an impact to WebMail?

The catch is which Tomcat on which plateform for which version of
WebAccess.

Port 8009 is used by NoRM on OES, so that could be a trip point if
there is a problem on that front.
Are the certs on this box all up to date? Such as NoRM's and LDAP?
